Default few questions

just few questions that have been on my mind lately

1) why do people take their chrome wheels off in the winter?
2) Is it really neccessary to get new gears (3.55) if you go from 17" wheels to 20"
3) where can you buy a lift for a 2wd QC that is not 6". I only want a 2 or 3

well, cant you use most 2-3" lifts on a 4x2 as you would for a 4x4? i mean, isnt it just business? making extra money for false advertising?

4x4 lift are not the same for the front end so they will not work. Tire size is going from 265-70 to a 275-60

no you wont need to change gears for that small change...just have to go to the dealer and have em reprogram the tire size...unless u have a programmer and you can do it yourself

2) Gears do not change, speedo calibration and final drive ratio (combo of rear gear ratio and tire height) changes. Hell, if your 20" tires and rims end up having the same overall diameter, then you don't have to do anything to your speedo!

Fabtech makes a good lift for a 4x2 and they have a variety of sizes for different levels of lift. But keep in mind they are expensive.
Superlift also makes some as well as Rough Country. They are both a little cheaper than Fabtech.
All you really need is a leveling kit to raise it 2" or go with a body lift.
