Default Damn touch up paint

Dont buy that crap from Advance Auto Parts if you have a metallic grey. That ****e is darker than my truck. I wished I had the scratches again. They looked better than dark streaks.

Well, thinking it over, they look like battle scars. NAHH! F THAT, DONT BUY IT!!!

Hey bro I got some touch up paint for Metallic Grey and it came from the Dodge store and is the EXACT same color!

Let me know if you would like some I might be able to send some to you. Good luck getting the streaks out!

Over the years, Dodge paint codes have changed somewhat. When I purchased a qt of paint for fender flares, hood scoop, etc, I had to provide the paint company the vehicle VIN number so they could get the proper match. Leads me to believe that generic touch up paint will not work for all paint codes of the same color. It is much worth the price of just getting it at the dealer and getting the right stuff.

To get the streaks out, go to a store that sells automotive paint and get a pack of 2000 grit clear coat wet dry sand paper. Use it wet on your truck and sand down all the mess you made. Don't worry. This will polish right up with some rubbing compound and will look better than new.

Before you ruin your truck's paint you should ALWAYS paint a test piece, letting it dry completelyand compare that the color between the dry test piece and the original color. Otherwise your pride and joy will look like a retarded monkey painted it while peaking on acid.

A buffer could probably pull that touch up paint out of the scratches.

jet pig has the best idea a wet sand works wonders. Also over time that paint will fade a little bit if you wash it and wax it and eventually blend together if your not daring enough to try the wetsand...

Now I am not. I was daring enough to put the dark streaks on it, I am afraid what I would do next. I will try the wash and wax see how that goes. Thanks all.

never cut corners if you really care for you truck, for between 8 and 15 bucks you can get the exact color match directly from the Dodge parts department in the same little touch up paint bottle you get from Autozone or wherever you bought that other stuff.
