i went to go change my tail pipes to go straight out the back because where they are at now the hanger keeps breaking then ifound out that there was a hole in my muffler. so now i am looking for something different right now i have a flowmaster 50 series muffler. i want something a bit louder. i was thinking of going with magnaflow, anybody have any suggestions.

i was riding my bike through the city and i seen a hemi ram with dual exhaust and sounded pretty sweet so i asked him what kind of muffler he had and he said he took his off. so i asked if the check engine light was on and it wasn't he told me he had a y pipe at the back. now if i took my muffler out and added a y pipe wouldn't my check engine light come on??? thanks

 

I also have no muffler right now. Had a wreck and havent put my Flowmasters back on yet. No check engine light. I would assume if you took off the Cat. you would get a CEL. Just a guess....

 

the muffler won't affect anything that will throw a code. The cat will throw you the code your thinking of though
