It seems like I have a Knock or Piston slappingcomming out of the engine durring frist start up of the day or after the truck sit for a while I dont know If this engine uses short skirt pistons they are known to knock at start up ?.

I have a 2006 Ram 1500 3.7 V-6.
Any one else having this knocking noise.

I planning to take it back to the dealer it's still under waranty for anouther 15000 miles so if it dose let go I want it to in the next 15000 miles.

 

yeah, best bet is the dealer. its still under warranty, correct? so if it is, hit the dealer up and work this **** out! if they plan to make you pay, start warning them about the BBB and all those goodies. this is something that is their fault, not yours.
