Hello everyone. I have a 5sp '02 3.7 V6 with 106 K miles. So far, except for oil, I have only changed 3 light bulbs, 6 tires and front brake pads (@99K).
Unfortunately, two days ago my engine started to missfire 2-3 cylinders. No water fording or anything like that... My last tune up was @ 60K. Do you think I may need new coils? Any experience?

I'm going to drop it off at a local shop tomorrow or on friday.

Thanks for your feedback.

Tomski

if ya ask this question in the 3rd gen section instead of the v6 3rd gen part, youd get more feedback b/c we dont have as many v6 owners on here anymore. im sure someone will chime in with some help.

my dad has a 03 ford thunderbird, which we've had to replace 3 coils now. when the coils go bad it starts to misfire really bad. runs fine when we get the new ones in. So that is probably your problem.

funny.. not many miles on it at all.. figures it's a ford

I figured I'd update you guys:
Yes, It was a bad coil. Just one - not bad for quite a few miles (107K at that time)
