MAZZ is correct. The "premium seats" option includes a change holder in the lid and I believe it also should have a 12V outlet in there.

You guys are correct on the premium seat issue. I wonder how much Dodge really saved by not using the space available so they now have to make make different fold down center consoles, instead on one standard for all models.

I just don't see any real cost savings on a change and or additional cup holder.

The upper facia is on the top of your bumper. You should have a chrome bumper with a piece across the top that is the same color as your truck.

Not much savings when you are talking one vehicle, but when you multiply that minor savings by every vehicle that rolls off the assembly line, you are most likely looking at MILLIONS in savings...

As for the ash tray, it is ok for a little bit of change. That is where I've always kept my change in all my vehicles. However, on my '05 Ram the ashtray doesn't stay closed due to the weight of the change if it's more than about half full. I usually collect lots of silver change...mostly quarters, which I use for the carwash. The built in change-holder in the center console fills up quickly.

*EDIT* HOLY RESURRECTION, BATMAN!!!!

It comes out, so it might be that it wasn't put in.

10-4 on the excess change in the change holder within the console. I usually have more change than the change holder will accomodate, so my fix is to simply use the top of a spray paint can or hairspray can or whatever to take on the extra coins.

my plain jane 02 1500 2WD has the flip down center console on the seat and it has the spot to store quarters, nickels and dimes in the front. Also if you want you can pull it out of the console and take it with you.
