Default almost 100,000 in my 2002 Ram 5.9

i am at 96,000 now. i have never had the truck in the shop. i still am on the origional brake pads. I bought the truck new in 2001 right when the new style came out, October i think. i have changed oil every 3,000 - 4,000, tranny fluid every 20,000 and rear diff. w/ synthetic at 25,000 miles.

Should i take the truck to the dealer and hope to get a cool service advisor and see if there are any service issues that I should get them to do before it goes out of warranty?

Things to do:
belts
hoses
radiator flush
ABS and brake fluid flush
plugs
wires
brakes/bearings Front and Rear

Anything else ?? need suggestions. i like preventative maintenance!

Thanks! i am new to the forum and appreciate your input!

Well, if you've had it for that long and nothing has been wrong with anything, it's all up to you bud.. I would though, just because I'm like you.. I like knowing that nothing is wrong with my truck.. it makes you feel safer and better about things. I'm surprised the bearings haven't went bad yet.. hah!

That's great news and gives us newer dodge owners a breath of confidence in their products! And yes, you should take that truck in to get new belts and most certainly check those brake pads

Do yo have a bike I can borrow ???

It is always good to keep up with the recommended manitenance. I would change the plugs, wires, hoses myself and leave the other things to the Dealer.

Yeah, I'm with Vader on this one. Besides, if it ever breaks down, it's not like your stuck somewhere with all those bikes in the back. Dude, do you like to ride or what???????

Mountain Biking is my favorite thing to do with my clothes on. Trout fishing is a close second though.

have same truck. At or around 100,00 miles this I recommend to save many issues with computer. Also with sensors. It is a pain but the wires and sensor to crankshaft pos. I would replace and silicone the thing. Salt is what sprays up and water killing it. If you spend a lot of time on dirt roads the sand helps keep dry but one day it's just not going to work. The distributor electronic disk under cap. If truck does not start spins fast and then chug and die and you go to start again and gets tight like binding 4th crank. It's not timing it's this little disk. If you have a red light come on by door ajar light. That little circle. Before doing anything with any no start issue. Turn key on red light on steady turn key off count to 15 then turn all the way starting dont wait on fuel pump. Security gets stumped. It will turn off fuel pump. ASD is only a relay and the other one next relays 56 and 57. They tend to go out in random. Do not wash engine ever with anything and dont spill antifreeze. If hits coil it's done or spark will get delayed. Dump water over it then wait till dry or use hair dryer to dry good. Gets in the wires and messes it up horrible. Fues box many guys say wires get lose or corroded under fuses. Power door locks are part of security function. When I heard about it and corrosion automatically thinking fan blades. One guy did a water pump. Hits throws right to fuse box or any water in a driving rain and fines from road salt. Attached a rubber shield to cover rebolted and on fender attached with clips. Ain't never been so clean under fuse box. Simple little tricks. The computer location is horible. Where all the darn heat gets trapped so unbolt take rubber put on metal bolt through both. Then on right side make heat shield from engine bay. I took a air kit from a car ran over to side to get air to push heat from engine away. How it working. Well I let you know but I know stuff is way more clean and a lot cooler in summer putting hand on componants.
