Any clues where this tuner is mounted in the truck, installing the aftermarked head unit (alpine), with a new sirius tuner, but i would really like to splice into the factory antenna and not mount another one up there. idea's?

2007 service manual says that it is behind glove box. The last one I installed went behind glove box. If I remember right, it is up and to the left of glove box door. ButI know some are on the right end of instrument panel and some are under the rear seat and some are near the parking brake lever.....SorryI couldn't be more helpful. I'm assuming it's the same, but do they call out for the tunner to be behind the glove box on an 06 QC? I'm about to do the same thing that jojo is and I too want to use the factory antenna..

keep us informed as to what you find it might save me some time not having to tear my truck apart looking for this thing...
Did you have to pull the climate control/radio panel off to get to any of the screws for the glove box, or can you get the glove box out without messing with any other part of the dash?

 

From the 2006 service manual.....
The glove box comes out without removing anything elsebut the glove box door.... Hope this helps....
REMOVAL





[ol][*]Open the glove box (1).[*]Release the two glove box stops (2) by squeezing the sides of glove box door inwardand lower the glove box downward past the stops.[*]Disengage the glove box hinges from the instrument panel and remove the glove box.[/ol]

DESCRIPTION






The satellite receiver for the regular cab is located behind the center seat on the floor.






The satellite receiver for the quad cab is located in the right rear corner of the cab, on the floor.
