Hemi Performance....
This may sound like I'm off my rocker(nuts)... But I am concerned.... I have an 07 1500 with a Hemi... I love the truck and the way it acted on the test drive and the performance within the first 15 days owning it... But I've noticed it seemed to have lost a chunk of power... Does'nt seem to take off as quick... Feels like the 4.7 I had in the last truck... But depening where i am.. I hear strange noises.. One of them sounds like water rushing thru a pipe... Don't know why... But once the RPMS are above 1500-1700... It seems rather fine... Seems as if the engine bogs down... And i've also noticed that when taking off it'll start to go and hesitate.. and lunge and go back to the norm... Has anyone else run into any thing like i'm describing.. Or am I just plain nuts....
I have been having similar problems with my '07 1500 hemi. Seems to bog down going into second gear about 20 MPH. Similar at 40-60 but I attribute that to the MDS. Was told by dealer that was normal, but I don't believe it. The owner of the dealership has the same truck as me and I will confront him with the issue. In another forum a similar problem the guy indicated it turned out to be a pressure valve in the trans. I'm gonna try that with the dealer on my next oil change in about a week. Keep you posted on what they find. If you find anything else out, let me know. At leastnow I know it's not just me with this problem and you are not nuts.
maybe it was because you were too hard on it its first few hundred miles. i think that theres still that point that you need to "break it in" no matter what the dealer says or anything.
the reverse could also be true. If you drove it conservatively lately, the pcm may have adjusted to a more conservative set of parameters. This would be better for fuel mileage, but your performance would take a hit.
I would go for a reset. Clear the memory. It only takes a second and it is free.

I may be a bit slow or thick, but a reset of what ?
I'm going to the dealer next week and want them to check this out again and I will make the suggestions but i need to know what to tell them.
Thanks for the advice and help for a slow guy.

A pcm reset. With truck off, pop hood, open fuse box, pull out pcm fuse (look at diagram to find which one it is), get in truck, turn key and hold on start until you hear two dings. Put fuse back in and start truck. Your pcm will have factory parameters now, and will learn based on how you drive. If you drive it like you stole it for a few weeks, you'll most likely see that power (or a little more) that you felt during the test drive.
