Default nitrous question.

i own a 2006 ram night runner. 2wd single cab. i plan on installing a complete header back exhaust. cold air intake, maybe underdrive pullys. my question is regarding nitrous though. what shot can our hemi's take, on a somewhat regular basis. without upgrading the ignition. one more thing, with all of the mods listed. what should my 1/4 mileset's look like.

they can handle 125 all day long from what others have been running 150 and people start blowing **** up. But in order to run nitrous PERIOD you need supporting mods. its not simply throw a bottle on and start spraying man, you'll cook your motor or any motor for that matter. You need a wet kit, stay away from dry ones. you need a wide band AF ratio gauge andmaybe an smt-6 or other tuner to get that A/f ratio in check. when you spray it will lean ya out BIG time. make sure the fuel jets are close to twice as big as the nos jets etc... a hundred shot is good for 80 rhp and .5-.6 off your 1/4 mile times (thats what others have shown). dont take any shortcuts if your goin on the bottle. check out Hemitruckclub.com. theres a guy on there that blew the intake manifold right off the truck cuz he wasnt cover evey aspect of using nos.
