Yea I know I did not buy this truck to go fast.

I purchased this V-6 for the 21+ MPG Ha Ha.

Itraded inmy 3/4 ton 4X4 gas hog getting 10 MPG going down hill for this V-6 I was paying $110.00 a week just to get to work and back home had to stop.

I knew 3.7 wouldbe down on power but not this much.

Jet programmers are claiming 15 to 17 Rear wheel HP improvment we will see.

I have tossed around the Idea of a after market type of exhaust system But I kind of like the stock low noise exhaust system now, After getting rid on the last truck with the 37 Inch off road tires, ruff riding and loud exhaust it nice to have a nice riding truck thats makes little sound.

If I do change out the exhaust I don't want the messed up sound like one ofimport tunner cars have you know that sewing machine sound or like I read somone else put it sounds like it's Farting, I don't mind it have a little rumble to it but not loud.

What I read so far once you Rev one of these 3.7 V-6 up they can sound like a tunner car so I beening careful which exhaust system I go with.

I also been looking at a K&N replacment filter for the stock air box and a after market tube from the air box to the throttle body.

I have a ram air scope on order already.

i had the 2006 3.7l now i upgraded to the 2007 HEMI. i asked/looked everywhere for the "perfect" exhaust for the v6... i was gonna end up getting myself the flowmaster sper 40's and then ended up trading in my truck... i heard of people with the super 40 on their v6 and they say it sounds like the v8's. so i would recommend it by word of mouth, not pesronal experience. cool air is virtually all the same to me too. so id get one that would fit in well and buy it. also, i put in the =AIR=RAM=> power wire in my truck. honestly, i did feel a difference. some claim they did, other say no... depends on if you wanted 100 hp or the 8-10hp that it says it will add... i was just looking for the 8-10 and found it.

I'm curious to see how much it helps. If you like it and think the chip is worth it then I may buy one.

Check out this web site It's the lowest price I found so far including free shipping andNo tax www.thoroughbreddiesel.com

I read some others what they are saying about this product so far so good 15 to17 or was it 17 to 20RWHP gain like I said I just want some more top end power up on the HWY.

I most likley going with a Magnaflow exhaust my self hopfuly I pick up some MPG also while doing this, maybe I will get closer to the so called 22 MPG Dodge claim this truck can get Ha Ha.

Thanks for the link, that seems like a good deal.I'll wait to see if you thinkit's worth it.So far I have the powerwire and scoop and did notice a difference. I couldn't really tell how much until the other day my check engine light came on. I didn't want to leave the powerwire on when taking it to the dealer so I took it off and noticed a loss of power withoutit.

I installed the Jet chip after work and had a Magnaflow 18 inch muffler stuck on with 3 inch in 3 inch out the $135.00 Exhaust is louder than what I wanted but I get use to it I hope.

It not badwhen you get up to speed but getting up there It's kind of LOUD and if you down shift to pick up speed it gets loud again.
At a stop light nice sound at speed it has a ok rumble.

The stock exhaust header pipeis 3 inch reduce down to 2.750 at muffler back to 3 inch tail pipecomming out of stock muffler.

As for the Jet Chip it did wake the motor up It starts pulling in the power band around 2500 RPM'S vise 3200 RPM'S it seems to put down power more cleaner I think do to the jet chip advances the timming faster I do feel it.

It was worth it as for putting In the chip but the Exhaust I don't know yet.

With both Mods I rev's out much easyer seems night and day faster, It's No race Truck but for a small V-6 and a 5000 lb truck it will work, Mabe some 373 gears hum.

I should be reciving my Ramair In the next couple of days this should also help me at HWY speeds at least be able the keep the truck at 70mph the posted speed around here.

I let you know if I gain some MPG out of this I also been thinking of getting a K&N Filter for it using the stock airbox.
