Now there's a smart idea...I'm taking it in to get checked out in the morning though by my mechanic...He's a straight dude, so I figure its the easiest way to find out. Its not like I have either the time or the knowhow to fix it myself anyways likely, so why not save myself the trouble...Still praying its nothing serious though! I told him what it sounded like and he said brakes maybe too though...

 

Well...FYI, apparently there's a problem with the joint between my differential and my axles in the front end. I guess something has come loose, and the axles in the front are now sort of floating. My mechanic says he can grab onto the driver's side axle and shift it about 2 1/2" up and down, and almost as much on the other side...This should be a hefty repair bill I'm sure. Thanks for all the input, I'll be sure to keep you posted on how it all shakes down.

 

hmm, maybe your spare tire is loose and moving around under there.

 

No, it's not the spare... he just said the front axle was loose.

 

Yup, not the spare...That would be too cheap of a fix to be my problem...
