I want to change my head unit in 04 ram 1500

Default I want to change my head unit in 04 ram 1500

I have factory stereo, i and i got stereo on garage sale form dodge or Chrysler 05
i went to local dealership and they told that it wont fit there, and i knew it. i went to local car audio store and installation center and they told me that wires is not gona fit, i checked on internet , looked on pics of my factory stereo and found out that its same wires, but they still wont install it. i can install it my self but i need some pointers, i wanna do clean job with out damage to my head panel, scratches and stuff that my most concern.
i would really appreciate your help and pic if its possible.

you should have bought an aftermarket CD/MP3 player instead of an OEM one.

hahahaha. you found out the hard way. lol. yeah, you should try to resell that sucker and buy a "cheap" aftermarket cd player. i mean, you can get a nice one between 100-200. not even bad!

lol. yeah. thats what we got in our 07. lol. it got me too. haha. i understand. well, you can buy a $150 cd player and a $100 6 cd changer too... eBay.

what year is your truck cuz that will only fit the dash of an 06 or 07. you also need to find out if that deck is ment for an infinity system or not, because if it is, it has no internal amplification the pins won't be the same.
