i looked at my exhaust today in the 07, and the intake, there is not much room for improvement especially in the exhaust for a v6. so i looked more. i found a piece on the intake below the filter, coming out of the airbox, that looked resrictive, so i took it off. i noticed a little more responsiveness off the line, and a lot more go on the on ramp.

end result,
v6 is more tolerable, just a little though
total cost. FREE,
cant hurt right.

are you really getting 26 mpg with that 6 banger? electrics fans do work. um... what about not being able to take em off? i think that they are standard on 2006+ v6's.

yeah your right, i dont know what the hell i am doing. keep your negative comments to yourself. and where did the 26 mpg come from, i haven't even checked yet because i only have 750 miles on the truck, ( i do know it sucks, coming from a solara) but if i was concerned about mileage i would not have gotten rid of a car that was getting 37 on the freeway.

i dont know if you have actually looked under your hood, or under the truck, but my exhuast is great. and the intake is good too, for a stock truck. i cant justify spend money to replace something that is going to work more than well enough.

and the supercharger? WTF ( i am going to do it if i keep the truck, but millwoodm. dont reply to any more of my post's unless you have something to say.

What exactly did you remove? Could you please give a little better description or a photo would be better.

my 07 v6 doesn't have an electric fan, it's on the old school fan clutch. though it would be a great idea, we might see a little boost in power without that heavy clutch/fan combo. but, would we lose the same amount as an extra draw from the charging system...it certainly could be better controlled (only using it when the vehicle isn't moving for example) and after my second tank full on the truck, i'm nearly at 18 mpg. i shift before 3000 rpm, and usualy skip 5th gear and go right into 6th....
