stock fog lights are weak! anyway to make em shine?
any lifted truck, mine included is a nuicense to the eyes of others, when I am at a red light or drive through I turn my head lights off because I feel bad for the people in the car. That is unless it is a ricer. I have no sympothy for them. I would like brighter lights as well but with the lift don't feel right, however I am going to evaluate because somebody else's comfort is not worth my family or trucks life if I crash due to lack of lighting.

If you want them brighter that's fine but they were meant to get under the fog and not to reflect light while driving in the fog. Brightening them will reduce their actual functionability of what they were meant to do.

ive got piaa fog lights on another vehicle and they shine low and far. my rams lights are shining all of 2 ft. if i was to sit back and snug i probaly wouldnt even notice. yes i understand they are meant to get under the fog. right now mine are just lighting up right at the bumper period. im well aware of what fog lights are meant to do. are all your fog lights shining (bright)all of 3-4 ft? when i turn the fog lights off, yes they do shine a little better, but i mean it seems like they should be lighting up a little more.. anyone know what im saying?
just checked out that piaa kit that goes in the factory location.. think i might do that along with some silverstar headlights.. should make a noticable difference. considering the difference in switching to silverstars on any car is night and day.
scratch that idea. $93 for the wires alone to be able to put the lamps in the factory location. then you gotta buy the bulbs seperate for $267??? forget that idea! guess i'll just drive super slow.

well my stock fog lights when i turn them on at night, light up the area from my bumper to where my head lights are shining, which to me is ridiculous because it practically does nothing. anyone know how to make them brighter? or light up a little more (area wise)

It sounds like you need some KC Off-Road lights mounted to the roof of your truck, to light the 1.5 miles a head of you!
Personally I think the fog lights are GREAT, They work far better than most factory fog lights. To Me its the low-beam headlights that are useless crap! I could drive around better with just the fog lights than with just the low-beam head lights!!

The pattern for fog lights are just what you mentioned and are designed that way. Doesn’t sound like there is anything wrong. Pirata is correct as well. Changing them may reduce their function in foul weather. Driving lights project beyond the regular headlights and are illegal for street use in most states.
My Factory headlights and factory fogs work great. If you change out to brighter illegal bulbs please don’t use the same highways I do at night. How would you like having you eyes put out by other drivers while you are trying to see the road?

If bright head lights were illegal, than factory HID systems would exsist!
But for the moron's that don't re-aim their head lights properly, that is the reason they invented auto diming rear view mirrors. Instead of correcting the idiots, they just idiot proof everything else!
