Whats a good tire to use? (Update - Pics added!)
Greetings all! I just purchased myself a 2004 Quad Cab Ram with the Hemi and it is in need of some good tires! I currently have 20's on it now. (275 - 60 R20) What would be a good tire for city driving that gives a great ride when taking into account budget and life of the tire?
You should consider dropping down to 17" wheels. It will be a bit more expensive at this initial change with buying the wheels and all, but it can be cheaper down the line, as well as give you more choices of tires in relation to your budget. There are a bunch of good looking wheels out there in affordable 17" sizes.
I got some 06 wheels and tires for sale, two tires great condition, other two not so great (were in the back) 200 takes them.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have to say, the General Grabber UHP's do look sharp! I currently have Goodyears on my truck now and if they are the original tires, they didnt last for squat! Not to mention the ride is horrid and they break loose at the slightest drop of water. Looking at the ratings on those Generals and the price, that seems right up my alley. Sorry Jimmy, not really looking for a used set. Also I am going to stick with the 20's, they look too sharp to replace with 17's.
Hey Helopilot, if I go with the 295's, will that cause any type of rubbing from being too wide? I dont have a lift or anything, just rolling stock.

if your looking for the cheaper A/T tire you might also want to look at Sport King, i had them on my 2nd gen, they hardly showed any wear at 15,000 miles, they still looked basically new and they had excellent traction as well
I have 275/55/R20 General Grabber UHP. They appear slightly wider than the stock goodyears but do not protrude too much past the fenders. Gives it a real meaty, muscular look. They look kick ***!
