A little exhaust help please for a 2007
I'm new to this forum and would greatly appreciate some help. I just bought a new 2007 1500 4x4, and my 10 year old daughter wants it to have a beefier exhaust tone. I would like to know the cheapest way to obtain a better sound. I'm not being cheap it's just that my daughter has cancer & right now I'm lucky to get the truck let alone throwing more money out right now. I am hoping that I may be able to replace the muffler with a performance one & get away with that. Will it cause any problems if I go that route?
Thanks.......Joe

no worries man. you dont have to explain yourself if youre going through all that.i hope you all get through it soon and that she is all well. all the best to you, your daughter, and your family and friends.
pappy has a flowmaster 50 series setup in his truck. he has some videos up on here and it sounds real, real nice! i believe its SHAPman that has a super 40 on his truck and has vids too. they both sound real good, but the super 40 is much louder. i believe they are the same price with installation. im actually planning on getting myself a 50 series. also, the truck has 2 resonators. you can get those taken off if you want it louder too. i think im just gonna get my rear resonator taken off when i get my flowmaster in.

So, your daughter wants it or is that what you are telling your better half
OK, on a serious note.....
Flowmaster if you want louder deep sound, 40 being louder than the 50. I have the 50 on my Hemi and would not want it any louder.
Gibson, Borlaor Mangaflow for something a little tamer, but performs better.
These of course are opinion, well other than the Mangnaflow, Borlaand gibson flow better than the Flowmaster. I have read faqs on that before.

Sorry to steal a post here, but I have to ask...
Everyone says that the 5.7 HEMI's have 2 resonators, but I only see 1. I see 2 cat's, 1 on each side of the engine, then it goes into a Y, then into a resonator, then into the muffler, then out the side behind the rear wheel.
So where's this 2nd resonator everyone is talking about? I have an '06 MegaCab 1500.
Thanks,
-TheChad
