Does anyone know if this stereo ( P05091720AD )is sirius ready and does RDS (not sure if right term displays station /song )

Yes RDS displays the name of the song, and the band's name. I recently upgraded to a stereo with RDS and it works great with Sirius.. With sirius it display's the type of music and the stations name. My part number was P05091175AB, sorry unsure about yours... I would search on ebay to see if anyone is selling that part number. I thought someone mention if it has what looks like a seperate power connector on back it's sirius capable, but not sure. Thanks.

 

It has an RAQ under the right side ****.

 

well i did a little searching and couldn't find anything about it being sirius capable, and RDS receives a signal from the radio station displaying the band name, song, and station name, and any catch phrase the station may use, it doesnt receive the signal from every station and the closer you are to that station will increase the chances of receiving this signal

 

Well I guess worst case , I could take the one from the wifes Charger to put in my Ram,,,,lol

The one in the charger won't fit in your dash (unless you went and got an 06 or newer and didn't tell us)

The RAQIn my 2006 has satallite. The company I work for makesRES versions (2007 version of the RAQ) that can have satallite receiver in it or not. I am going to assume that the RAQ was the same. It can comewith satallite or not.
