Default Lug nut torque

How many of you DON'T use a torque wrench when tightening the lugs on your wheels? I absolutely do use one, but my neighbor across the street (a Ford mechanic) says my impact wrench is just fine.
(forgive me if this question was posted before)

In all my years I have NEVER used a torque wrench to tighten. I crank my compressor up to about 90PSI and let it rip. Never had a wheel fall off or break yet.

100lbs give or take with a tq wrench or tq stick.

The other hammer guys will soon post (or already have) about front end pulsatation (vibrations) because their rotors are warped.
And they'll say the brakes are bad, LOL!

If you are going to do it, do it right.

proper torque is 135. I'm not about to risk a loose nut or a broken stud.

my service manual says:
2004 and earlier
-1500/2500 135 ft-lbs
2005
-1500 95 ft-lbs
-2500 145 ft-lbs

I guess I'll split the difference and go to 115 ft-lbs. A difference of 40 ft-lbs (2004-2005) seems like a huge amount. Is it really that much?

Just replaced all my security lugs for normal ones. One was on there so tight I cracked the lug and had to take it to a tire shop to get it removed. The tire shop said to torque to 115 or 120.
