Default Questionson '03 ram

I bought a '03 Ram 1500 quad cab last week.It kas 33K on a 4.7.

I have a few questions for you guys:

What did they come with for a warrantly? I was told it ended. Today someone told me they came with 7/70,000.

Anything I can do to impove mileage? Does sythetic oil make a difference?

Any basic tweaks to for better performance?

SO far the only think I dont like is the lack of radio controls on the steering wheel (my Durango had them).

3/36000 warranty

CAI and exhaust will help the gas out. Also geta programmer to help. Small price ot pay for what seems will pay for itself in a year if you drive alot. I paid a little over a grand for my set up and I am already getting about 25 miles more per tank. Any CAI, any exhaust, and go with either the SuperChips or the Bully Dog programmer. The CAI and the exhaust will come don to how much you want to spend.

my 03 qc 5.7 hemi came with the 7/70 and that was what was give that year without the extra upgrade that went bumper to bumper 7/70 with $ 100 deductable. The original 7/70 was only for the powertrain. The bumper to bumper was 3/36.

Correct. 3/36 bumper to bumper and 7/70 power train. The last year for the 7/70 was 2005. The 7/70 did not apply to the SRT.

Please explain what a programmer is. I am also a new '03 dodge ram QC 5.7L Hemi owner. How will this programmer help with performance and MPG? Thanks a lot.

Search forthe "superchips" threads. It basically allows you to change the stock fuel management for better power. Also a "powerwire" will help as well, it lies to the computer and tells it your intake temp is 20 degs lower.

As for the warranty, you need to have it "transferred" when you buy the truck. If you didn't, you got screwwwed by the seller.SinceI am the third owner I couldn't be too mad, plus he told me straight up.
