programer voids waranty?
Not to my knowledge. (Dealer knowing you used one) Surely a computer savy personcan download information off the ECU and note reprogramming and recent activity, but I doubt the dealer can tell that by plugging in a diagnostic tool into the port.....
As for it voiding warranty.... it could, but only if you left in on (PC program for better performance) and the dealer saw it. It's not a "maintenance" item, like an air or oil filter. If they can relate a problem to the failure of the ECU, they might try to hang you for it. It's easy enough to put it back to stock...
Although, it isa great diagnostic tool......

Nope. The tech use a computer call Star Scan to read the codes. The only way that they can tell, is if you actaully have a CPU problem, take it to the dealer and leave a performance program on. Then they will check the settings and see it has been changed. I already had my truck in the dealer for work. They had the computer hooked up for about 2 minutes to read the code, did the repair, and hooked back up for 2 minutes to clear the code. The service department is the only department that doesn't know I have a programmer. My salesman and the Accessories department know... LOL!!!
You don't really want to leave the program on there anyways when you come in for service, since if they reflash they can erase the programming you have and then you would have to deal with the programmer's tech people to get you new software for your programmer. And I never had a problem with the service dept saying anything about my truck.
Much better than my 06 Gt Mustang, every time you flash it back to stock it would store a P1000 error meaning the computer was reset. A couple times when I had to take it in they wanted to know what was done. I just told them that I was told to unhooked the battery so the computer would reset to see if it would fix it.
