Default New Truck

Hey all, I have been heavily considering buying a new truck. I test drove a 2007 1500 Quad Cad 4x4 5.7 in electric blue and I fell in love. I just want to know if there are any common problems with these trucks, what a good price is, how they tow (kick out of O/D?), and what kind of gas mileage can I expect.
Thanks!

Good choice of color.
Excellent trucks.
The general concensus is that common problems include electrical bull****.
Price is between you and the dealer. Are they still giving away the free HEMI upgrade?
Mine tows just fine and I got a 4.7L.
MPG will not be what is on the sticker.

the MPG will be between (after about 3k miles) 13-17 mpg depending on your driving highway/city. we have the 2007 HEMI and the mpg is the same as it was on our v6. we took off just over $10k off of the sticker price. you can most def. get more off now.

I just bought the 07 dodge ram 1500 with the hemi. Dealer took 11500.00 off the sticker price. I only have 500 miles on it so far and cant wait to tow with it. So far I love the truck.

I've got an 2007 electric blue 1500 SPORT 4 X 2 quad cab 5.7 HEMI. It handles pretty damn good. I'm averaging 15-17 mpg stock. Hopefully with a CAI, Exhaust system, and some other mods I'll be able to increase that. Anyway, the ride is the sh*t.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have a 2007 1500 4x4 QC with the ThunderRoad package (20" rims, 3.92 gears) and with 7600 miles on it, the best I can get is 12mpg. I am not an aggressive driver, the truck rarely gets over 3000 rpm.

Now for the good news. The dealer by me is selling all Ram's for 12,000 off sticker if your interested. www.lustinedodge.com Ask for John Davis, he will take GOOD care of you!! They also offer Auto4Life which means you get a lifetime powertrain warranty from them, for free!

If you have the extra money go CTD. if you are going to be towing there is no substitute for the diesel power. Hemi is great, I had a 06, but so much happier with my 05 CTD.

just went there, and it gave me this link: http://www.lustinedodge.com/default.asp?newused=1

Hopefully that works, but be warned. There is audio on the site so if your at work, turn your speakers down. At least the voice is a lady who sounds somewhat sexy... lol

I also agree that you should get a Cummins Turbo Diesel. They are 100% BAD *** !!!

Also, the deals you see on the site are NOT what you will get at the dealer "in person". The charger's are now $6000 off and the trucks are $12,000 off. And thats any vehicle on their lot.
