I just got finished blowing my transmission on my 2004 Dodge Ram 4x4. The guy at the Dodge place said that some how, the transmission line got ripped out and it lost all of its oil. He said that there was a lot of mud underneath. Off course there is going to be mud underneath, I work for a farmer, I didnt buy a 4x4 just for looks. I was just wondering if anyone would know how much it cost to rebuild or have a new trany installed, just in case they stick me with the bill. The truck is still under warranty. Has anyone been in this situation before?

 

They most definately should cover it... it'll be really pricey if they don't. I'd start a stink if they stick you with it.
