4x4 or 4x2 whats best
depends on if you need 4x4 or not, it's good to have but not very nessicary unless you will be driving on ground that will have less traction, and be hard to get through with 4x2. such as mud or snow.
+1 on what you need it for.
One or the other truck isn't "better", unless there's 10" of snow on the ground. Then again, Dodge makes their 4x2 trucks at the same height as the 4x4's, so you get the same look, with less weight of the front axle, driveshaft and transfer case....
If you DO have bad weather, I'd prefer one with at least a limited slip rear axle. That way, if it does get ugly out, you're not left with a one-legger, as an empty truck is pretty light in the rear.

I agree with OldMoparMan ... if it's not 4x4 at least get LSD with a HEMI. You may get alot of slipping in wet weather if your heavy on the gas from a stop. Also you may want to consider resale ... more people look for 4x4 ... not that you'd ever sell a RAM

moodie is right also.
I have the 4X4 here in the UK already.
I would most CERTAINLY make sure the 4X2 has LSD at the very least!
Trust me on this, they are light as stated above, on the *** end and will be terribleon the wet, greasy roads we have here in the UK.
With the Hemi's power, trying to pull away at a right turn junction quickly with a "peg leg", will be virtually impossible!
The light wheel will just spin like CRAZY !!!! and you'll go nowhere fast.
Remember........345Bhp is hard to put down on a dry road. In the wet without LSD.........???????
The LSD makes for real great launches from a start on either dry and particularly wet/greasy roads.
My 2p worth bud.
