Default Cut Out Question in NJ

I just purchased an electric cut-out online from DMH and got some prices to have it installed by local speed shops and I got between $200-$300...I'm thinking this is a little ridiculous. I live in North NJ and was wondering if anyone lived around here and had any reccomendations. I would do it myself like everything else, but I am not a good welder and want it done by a professional. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I don't have to live in NJ to tell you that price sucks. I'm getting one soon and my exhaust guy said if i buy it and bring it in $50 for it to be welded in. I'd just wire it up myself.

Yeah, if that was the price for a cutout and all the wiring installed maybe, but there are guys getting whole exhausts fabed up for that price.

i'd say its high even for the wiring done up. all you have to do is run a couple wires and place a button, its like a 15 minute task.

total bs. I was quoted 30 bucks to get it welded in the exhaust by a local shop. Running the wires isn't a tough job, most people do it themselves. Only possibility would be they're including the price of the cutout. Or they're crooks.

Wow, that is high. Check to see if they are including the whole install. Tell them you just want the cutout welded in and you will do the wiring. If that is just getting the weld done, then keep looking.I know the wiring would not be that much as far as price goes and such, but they are probably giving you a warranty on the install.

Take it to an exhaust shop and see what they want to cut/weld it in, then do the wiring yourself.

I'm in South River, NJ, where are you?
