Hey all, I just wanted to share the fact that I just purchased the flowmaster 40 series and had it installed at one of the local muffler shops here in San Diego. Before I go on I'd like to mention that this shop, Jerauld's Mufflers, showed me the best damn customer service i've ever seen for any auto part/accessory shop. Bunch of great guys over there and if you're in San Diego you should hit them up if you are in the market for an exhaust, etc. Now on to the good stuff....

I finally decided on getting the 40 series single in dual out side exits before the rear wheel. Looks pretty bad *** and is pretty freaking mean sounding. Anyway, I lost my usb cable for my camera so I can't post picture yet. As soon as I find one I'll post them up and let all you all comment on them. I wanted the muffler because I want my MPG, but damn, it's kind of hard to take your foot of the pedal when she sounds real nice, ain't it? Now, I'm going to get me my CAI...What to get and where to go is another story....

Oh, the total price I paid was 360 including labor. ORW was trying to charge me 600. Pshhh, get the hell out of here with that ****....ha ha ha.

 

Was gonna have mine custome done... and i called... the guy told me atleast 450.... But this is up here and the Northeast....

 

that awesome you found a shop like that. I have the same deal here in MN they know me by name Any chance we can get some pics of the install?

Here are some pics of my new truck and the newly installed 40 series single in, dual out exit before the rear wheel. I personally like the exit maintains the clean lines of the truck. I like it, others will not, but to each his/her own. Let me know what y'all think. I'll put some better pictures up later. Notice the missing tailgate stolen last week!!! And yes, I got a chrome gas cap on me ride boyo!

Dude... where's your tailgate... j/k, I read the post and the other one. That blows. Getting anywhere with the insurance company? You see that other thread with the guy selling tailgates and even shaving and relocating the handle... might be good.

 

Yes, my insurance company is USAA so they've been really good. Day 1, tailgate stolen, day 2, appraiser onsite at my work to look at the loss, day 3, cash money deposited into my checking account minus 250 deductible. Good, quick turn around but something I never want to experience again. Obviously I wanted all OEM parts and jazz so I went through the dealer. Paint, liner, tailgate lock, assembly will all be finished by the end of the week.

I did see the other guys post about tailgates. I wanted to joke around with that dude but it seemed like he got butt hurt and couldn't take a joke. ha ha ha.
