Not that crazy about the wood bezel trim in my 06. Has anyone here painted theirs and if you have what type of paint did you use?

Do they remove? Which pieces are they? You can prime them with MarHyde or Duplicolor adhesion promoters. I did my window/lock controls and around the cd player and climate controls.

I've been wanting to do this too. I thought about matching that to the paint on the outside. Anyone know where to get some factory match paint in a spray can?

I don't know if you can get it in a spray can, but I think Sherwin Williams has a kit that is a glass bottle and spray adaptor. I've used it before, just not sure where we got it. Let me know if I can help. I've painted alot of things on my truck, both inside and out. Check my album..

"Glass bottle and spray adaptor"?

I've never painted anything. I've read about how to do it (sanding, prepping, etc) but I don't have a compressor or anything like that. What would you suggest for a guy like me? This might help both of us, moodie.

Just did a little digging. How do you think this would look for interior pieces?

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/cho...RJ%2C+No%2C+No

They have touch up amounts, 12 oz. spray cans, andgo all the way up to pint and quart cansof paint.

I have three pieces I want to paint ... the large piece around the radio and heater vent and the two side pieces oneach door. I think the front piece is easy to take off (just pry if off) but wondering if anyone has removed the door pieces and how to do it. Does the door pieces just pop off also?

I believe that you can go to NAPA or an auto paint shop, you bring in your color code and they match your paint, and it comes in spray cans. You are going to want a primer coat, and to remove whatever polish is down on the material before you primer or paint. Duplicolor makes interior spray paint, but I don't know how close the colors match. Or you can take them to a place like Midas and they can spray the parts for you.

just sand w/600 grit or higher, maybe some scotch brite pad for the nooks and crannys, prime paint and clear. same for the door inserts. the doors have two pins that are plastic welded on the backside. just cut them off with a knife. couple hours of work. as for color matching, I say get the color as close as you can. you're never gonna see the inside and outside at the same time anyways.
