You will find that the turbo is the more popular mod on this site then the supercharger. Superchargers are parasitic, since they run off of the belt on the engine, always turning, and under slower driving conditions can rob power and hurt fuel economy more then a turbo does. Since a turbo runs off the waste gases of the engine, there is less of this parasitic loss. Check out www.ststurbo.com. Pretty sick set up, but be prepared to pay for it, as neither one of these mods are cheap. As for other things that should be done first, there are other members on this site that would be better at answering that question for you.

The turbo makes more power to the wheels and are usually cheaper than a supercharger. If you want to make around 7lbs of boost, don't have to do anything to the motor.

Mine drivetrain is stock except for 4.56 gears and I make 450hp to the rear wheels.

You will need a good wideband air/fuel gauge/meter and a vac/boost gauge at least.

My mileage actually went up around 2mpg when I don't get on it.

The SMT- 6 is made by perfectpower.com.

But, we have a kit made up especially for hemis. It includes larger injectors for additional fuel and a 2bar map sensor to read boost.

SRT10KLLR sells the kits with a basic tune already in it.

I sell the STS turbo kits.

just use 100 shot of nitrous that way when you want power you can use it and then your not robbing your truck of gas mileage. a nitrous kit installed is like 1500 bucks canadian eh!

Around 3800 for turbo and boost controller. 1000 for tuner kit.
You can have an air/air intercooler fabbed up for around 500.
You need the ic for 3lbs or more of boost.
Don't know how much an install would cost. Me and a bud did mine.
Nos makes big power, but its either on of off. The turbo or supercharger gives smooth power across the rpm range.
