What type of oil should I use?
I use Mazola or Wesson both are synthetic and very light weight - great for MDS Hemis'.
Just kiddin
I use to use Valvoline or Penzoil religiously until Amzoil and Royal Purple hit the streets.
Justfork out the extra cashfor a really good Filter.
I use the one JC Whitney sells that lets you use a roll of toilet paper. (again joking)

mobil 1, amsoil, royal purple--all are great oils. Make sure you get a good filter as well though, no reason to spend more money on a good oil and get a fram filter (i know many people are diehard fram fans, but the filtration efficiency and construction isn't good enough in my opinion).
I was wondering if a syn oil would be good on the engine at this early of milage. my dad has a 2002 frontier and he is already running a syn oil. i was thinking about using Valvoline 10w30 syn in the winter and 10w40 syn in the summer. i have heard that it is better to run a thinner oil in winter so i will be easier on the valves b/c of the cold and a thicker oil for the summer b/c of the hot air.

Yait'll be ok to run synthetic on your early milage motor. I run 5w20 Lucas synthetic with great results year round but if you prefer to run alittle heaver weight oil thats fine too.
