Check Engine Light after wash under hood
Hey guys. I washed under my hood last night then washed the rest of the truck and put it back in the garage. I didn't drive it again until this morning to go to work. When I took off, it seemed a little hesitant. Thinking it still had a little water somewhere I gunned it and went down the road for a few miles with it opened up. The check engine light flashed a couple times, but hasn't come back on since. Coult it have just been a little left over water? Should I take it in and have it scanned? I took it out for lunch a little while ago, and it ran like it's always ran before..
Yeah as long as it's off I dont think its anything to worry about.
If you wanted try reading the codes to see if anything shows up [cycle the key off to on 3 times quickly but do not actually start the truck.]

I had that issue on a mustang I owned. Turns out some water accumulated around the boot of one of the coil packs and kept the cylinder from firing. Nothing 5 min and a paper towel couldn’t fix. Take it to an auto parts store, most of the bigger chain stores like auto zone and murrays will scan it for you and let you know what the code was. or if you got the code from the dash as suggested by StillBorn, just post it here. there are a few people that have a code book and will let you know what it is.
Your best option imho would be to get a superchips tuner, and check/clear the code yourself. PLUS you get all the extra power and perks.
