Default Flowmaster 40 on 2005 Ram Quad 4.7 lt ??

I just had a Flowmaster 40 put on my 2005 Ram 1500 Quad Cab. Its a 1 in 2 out muffler. I left the resonator on in front of the muffler. It sounds great except when at around 1800 to 1900 rpms, Then the Drone is very bad in the cab. Anyone else with this setup having the same issues? Should I change the 40 out with a 50?

the 40 series is known for a drone just under 2 grand. One thing that helps is getting bigger diamater tail pipes. It will still be there but not as loud.

I went with the Borla cat-back syestem for this very reason. Last thing I want is to drive over 3 hours and be tone deaf upon arrival..............[:@]

I had a 40 on a Ford awhile ago. It was loud. The 50 was better, FWIW.

I have the 40 series on my truck and I love it ... the drone is only bad for a second or two while you get up to speed. I was really stuck between going with the 40 or 50 ... I went with the 40 and it sounds great. I think the 50 series might be just a little too quiet IMO.

Definitly go with the 40 ... I was real nervous because I thought it would be too loud. Then when I put it on I was like "damn, its a little loud" ... but after a week I am wishing it was a little louder. All in all I think it is perfect ... not too loud but noticable and definitly not obnoxious at all.
