I've been looking at purchasing the 8PSI boost kit but has anyone installed one of these?

Uh... talk to KeniHemi (I think that is his handle) or any of those guys that run with the STS. I want to say that they said 8 psi of boost is high for a stock drivetrain. I could be wrong though.

DO NOT GET THE GSM KIT!!!!

They are by far the worst forced induction unit for the hemi and have grenaded many motors. If you want the best application for your motor get the sts turbo, if you are set on a blower then get the new procharger system as they are the best blower avaliable for the hemi.

Don't take this wrong but I like both Blowers and Turbos....
But If I had my drethers...Me thinks Turbo for street use would be the way to go.

Thanks for all the input! I think I'll do a little more research on the STS Turbos.

I prefer superchargers because they give immediate power of the line whee as a turbo kicks in at a certain RPM. So if you want more power of the line then go supercharger and if you want more power at the top end go turbo. Just my opinion but I am looking at adding this supercharger to my ride along with a cam in the near future. Good luck

The gsm is a centrifical supercharger, not a roots supercharger. So it is like a turbo, it make more boost with more rpm's.

The compressor in it is just like a turbo, it is run by a belt and steals power from the engine to run it, a turbo is run by waste exhaust and doesn't steal any power.

8lbs is the max for a stock engine, and you need an intercooler for anything over 3lbs.

kenihemi, regarding boost lag, does your set up have much lag? I have heard that sts is not to shabby on the low end and does not lag very badly.
