Default RE: Looking for new Tires.....

Here where I live in VA, a local tire shop sold me 4, mounted/balanced/installed with lifetime road hazard for $842. I got the All-Terrain T/A in blackwall, size 285/70R17. I haven't put them on yet...I went ahead and bought them so that I could use a credit card that gave me 12 months no interest. I still have a few thousand miles left on the stock Goodyear's, but it is killing me seeing them sitting in the shed. At least this way, I can see what the 5 cranks to the torsion bar will do the tires without an alignment!!

WELL I WAS GOING USE THOSE INTILL I FOUND THE ..NITTO TERRA GRAPPLERS IN A 295/70/17 GOT THEM ALMOST A HUNDRED DOLLARS CHEAPER AND THEY ARE RATED FOR THE SAME MILAGE AND THEY HAVE A NICE AGGRESSIVE LOOK TO THEM .IM GETTING THEM FROM DISCOUNT TIRE FOR 150.00 EACH INSTALLED WITH WARRANTY
Got pics? I really like the 305/65/R17 BFG A/T KO more than the 285/70/R17 of the same tire. Almost an inch wider and only 1/10th of an inch shorter. At the same time, the 295/70/R17 Nittos are kinda tempting also. I've been able to narrow what I like down to these two different types of tire, I guess I just need to find out how the Nittos look on our trucks. I guess I'm down to this: I like the looks of the BFG's more, but the size of the Nitto's are nice.

The Tire Rack has the BFG AT's 285/70-17 for $195 blackwall, or $212 raised white letters.
Has the Mud terrains for $209 now on special. That's what I would get because the AT's pick up gravel, acorns, etc. way too much for me.
I had them before going to the slightly taller Goodyear MT/R. The BFG's are a better street tire.

What rim width is your wheel? 8inches is probably minimum for the 305's.
