2007 1500 suspension
I have a 2007 Ram 1500 Quad with Hemi-Big Horn-towing package. I just bought a 5th wheel and it lowers the back-end more than I like. Any suggestions on what I can do to help this. Pulls the rv with no problem-no high rpms, etc. Very good brakes on rv--only concern is the lowered bed. Thanks. 1st Dodge truck.

what is the neck weight on your RV? It is not just the springs you need to worry about, there is frame stress and other concerns you should look at (remember you have a 5 bolt wheel).
Your truck you should handle easy 1300 lbs of weight on the bed over the axles (you have to remember that your own personal load has to be added to the gross weight of the truck)
Good luck

That is a heavy neck weight for a 1500... Personally I would stay away from that, some of the folks here may have more experienceon that part and may offer better solutions.
Also, how often do you pull and how far? I mean you have a 2000lb neck weight, but you and your family and now you are looking at least another 300lbs if not more now you are looking at 2500lbs. I am sure that airbags and overload springs will keep you leveled, but I be concerned about the axles, shocks, brakes and other components... That is just my thought...

I put the timbrens on yesterday afternoon-took about 20 minutes. Will put the rv on this afternoon and take about a 20 mile trip. I did pull the rv back home on Monday and had no problems at all--rpms were nornal, braking was good, no swaying, etc. I do understand all that you are saying and I do appreciate it. The truck looks like it can handle it, the way it is built. Having the Big Horn edition, to me should help besides having the towing package. I haven't found were this is taken into account on any specs for hauling.
The greatest distance I travel is about 90 miles for football games. I will keep a close eye on the guages and the truck itself. Maybe I am fooling myself, but I hope not.
Thanks to all of you for your advise, I really do appreciate it and it is helping me look at a lot of different things.
