Hey guys noobie here. I just bought an 05 ram quad cab 2wd SLTand was wondering if anyone could run a VIN check to see which rear end is in it and other stuff you can find that the truck was built with. ie. Tow prep package the dealership says it came with the tow package but he wasn't sure about the rear end. I have read on here that the dealers like to put the reciever hitch on the truck after the fact. I appreciate any help I can get.

Or just look in your glove box at the sticker and read it there......

 

No sticker in glove box, I had read that one on here a few days ago and thought what a great idea, but low and behold mine's gone. Thanks for the help though. And thanks for the link squirtbottle I'll give that a shot.

ya there should be a tag on the axle. take the vin to the dealership parts department and they will print it out for ya while you wait. mine had stuff i never knew about..

 

Well the tags dont tell "other stuff". The build sheet gives you all sorts of info.
