Here is my play my play R&R of the Stock (OEM) Hemi Thermostat to the Jet 10183 (180)
Remove the twobolts and pull the Radiator Hose up and back a little. You will lose/drainless thanhalf a gallon of coolant. You now have access to your Thermostat. So easy a Caveman could do it!

The Sammage Bag trick didn't work out to well for catching Coolant, but I did have a Catch Bucket
The OEM T-Stat has a Dog Bone and Bleeder Hole - The Jet does Not.

They measured the exact same size. Sorry the pics aren't clear it was beginning to rain. The Rubber Seal is groved to go around the Lip of the T-Stat and fit perfectly on the Jet.

After doing alot of research, me thinks the Bleeder Hole is used to drain the system without removing the T-Stat. I figure If I ever need to drain it I'll remove the T-Stat anyway.

Oh yeah baby, that back bolt is a Be-Otch! Especially with wet fingers. Yes my Big Fat Wet Fred Flintstone Fingers didn't fit real good into that tight little space and I dropped it. Of course it had to fall into the damn bucket of coolant! LoL!
Anywho put the two bolts back in a snug em down (don't over tighten em)

After everything was buttoned up, I strained the Bucket O Coolant back into the Overflow tank. On an After thought I should have prolly put it back in the Radiator. Oh well I'll fix it later if need be.

I love the way you posted this. I could see the Caveman doing this with your play by play description.

One thing, how did the old thermostat come out and how did the new one go in? Any tools involved or does it just require a little coaxing in and out?

Rodger that, Pulled it straight out Rubber Seal and all.

Ok ok I had to reef on it a little, you know twist a lil, gruntand hold yer mouth just right.
But she finally popped right out.

Going in was Much easier, got it centered and ran my Big ol Fred Flintstone thumb around the edge. I could feel it snugging into place as I did.
