Iraggi Dual Alternators on 2004 Ram Hemi
Original 150 amp Bosch with an Iraggi 320 amp Bosch running in tandem with original controlled by Dodge ECU and the Iraggi by an external ajustable regulator with huge batteries.
Idles with 260 amps and 450+ amps at 1500rpm.
Not cheap, but Dom Iraggi doesn't do cheap, he does good instead

Dare I ask what the heck are you running that you need 400amps? I would be really really concerned about the heat that setup in the toolbox is causing, Just waiting to hear one of those battery blew up.

dont need that much, however I am a volunteer fireman, with a full size rotator light bar, dash light, wig-wags, and extra reverse lights. I only drive one mile to work a day, so that doesnt leave much charging time for the battery. Also, If I were to leave my truck sit at idle with my emergency lights on for a long period of time, I would kill my battery and the alternator would have a hard time keepin up the power supply... Like i said tho, its not a necessity, but it sure wouldnt hurt...
Well, Thats really cool. Please, If you heven't, install some cooling fans in the toolbox before you need your own service, though. Doing Solar equipment, I have seen more than My fair share of batteries go Ka-Boom.
I had 2 alternators in an old van I had when I was a kid, I noticed a pretty impressive gain when I pulled it after it went bad, So I wondering have you noticed any horsepower loss after the extra alternator? Of course the van only had a V6 in it.
