leveling kits?
hey i have been looking at some leveling kits for my dodge 1500 03and was just wondering a few things... whats a good leveling kit and not to expensive? one of my friends was telling me to look on the dealers on ebay because they are cheaper.... and also, the ones that i have been finding on the internet, they mostly say 4WD, my truck isnt 4WD but does it really have to be 4WD for thatkit or does it not matter?

RE: leveling kits?
You can raise the front or lower the back. Which are you looking for?
If you are looking to raise the front you need coil spacers. Any 4wheel parts ahve them, You will need new shocks too.
If you want to lower the back the you are looking for a shacke kit. Biggest you will find for ours is 2". This will almost level it out. To get that extra inch you can add spring clamps. This is what I did. I have Slammed1 suspension shackes with springs clamps I got from ebay.
More than likely lowering the back is cheaper, and unless you are going to add some bigger tires, will look better too.

RE: leveling kits?
right here justntex. go with daystar! i got a 2.5" levelink kit from them for like $86. its a big ole piece of rubber, polyurethane to be exact. it sits in your shock bucket, on top of your coil. when i did it a lot of people told me 2.5" will level it almost perfectly. that was very mistaken from my observations. if you just want to level it id go with a 2". the 2.5" made the front end sit a lot higher than the rear, so i added a 1" block to my leaf springs to level it out, which was fine for me because i just wanted the most lift possible to clear big tires. with my 2wd i could clear 37's if i wanted to. i just put 35's on and i thought it would be tight, but i have plenty of room for bigger.
this is how you do the installation i used this to help me. but instead of a pitman arm puller, use the pickle fork, it'll make the job soooo much easier!
