Default Leveling kit

I have just bought a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 reg cab 2wd. I want to try to find a leveling kit for the front of the truck. Does anyone know who makes such a kit for the 2wd models. Any help would be great. Also, what is the largest tire I can fit on it if they do not make a leveling kit for the front end. I hate that droopy nose!

Thanks forthe help so far, but it seems everything is made for the 4wd model. I did finally find one. It is a kit that you get springs to raise the front 2.5". Any recommendations on a tire size that looks and works well on this truck without killing mpg and power. Again thanks for the help so far.

This is a link to a Lift Kit for our trucks I hope it helps out It's is a little pricey but looks good. http://www.cstsuspension.com/product.../productID/391

From someone been down that road you need to change a bunch of other things to make the truck right once again after installing the lift kit and big tires LIKE REGEAR the diff the V-6 is underpowererd in the fist place oversize tires will kill it It will not stop very good do to leverage of the bigger tires and the extra unspung weight, you can upgrade the brakes to make up for it if so make sure when you purchase you'r rims the new brake system will fit you mite have to go with taller rim size.

Don't forget about recaling you'r speedo for the bigger tires.

One more thing Crosswinds you will feel them big time so hang on with both hands and have fun.

I love the way a Lifted truck looks like but It cost lots of cash to do it right Been there done that to many times and most likley will do it again.

Dont get the spindle kit if its not a reputable brand though, like some ebay off brand. Ive seen alot of those sag quickly, sometimes almost back to stock height! I personally think the spacers are the way to go for the stock coil springs, but thats my opinion. The spindles would have the same effect of your joints, like cv for example as the spacers would. but with the spacer, if you lift 2", your gonna keep 2".

A leveling kit is the best thing you could do for your truck, Dodge is crazy to have the front end so low, especially on the 2wd.

I have coil spring spacers in my 06 dakota from Trailmaster, and they have been the best. off and on road, no problems for about 10k miles now.

I dont understand where you' getting you information from Spindles kit is lowwer you spindle axle postion to a lowwer point on the spindle mount it self. You'r ball joints have the same geometry so there no more stress on them more than stock spindle mounts there no more spring load than stock spindles all you doing is lowwering the position of the axles mounting point down a couple inches.

I had other types of lift kits in the past my self spring lifts if you buy a bad set of springs can sag down it happpens even to stock springs sag even high dollar name brand or custom springs will sag been there done that.

Body lift just suck as for coil spring spacers they are saying the 2006 and 2007 Full size 1500 rams can not use the spacers due to the new frame they will not fit right.

A coil spacer will be harder on you'r ***** joints than a spindle lift with a coil spacer you have changed the geometry of the
A-arms now you have put more stress on the ball joints do to over extending the stock travel the stock A-Arms are now sittiing lowwer over extending them ball joints are only designed for so much movement or deflection not saying it will not work it just work harder than stock or Spindle lifts.

Either coil spacers or Spindle lift you are not increasing amount of travel you have just lowering the axle position, if you want to increase you amount of travel you need to change springs for longer travel that gets in to a whole can of worms with A-arm.

Oh yea with a spindle lift it should keep the stock type ride most spring lifts give you a ruff ride due to the higher spring rate good shocks will help out stay away from companies that make there own springs and put there name on a POS shock and sell it to you as a kit get a good name brand shock as my self I lean towards Bilstiens you can go wrong, KING shocks if you can afford $1000.00 per shock.
