I know in TX I was told by the muffler shop that the exit had to be 18" behind the cab. Which for the regular cab shortbed was pretty close. Hope it works out for you, it sounds great and has tons of drone.

Here in md it has to be at least 6 inches past the cab so it's legal

I'm going on 56 and have been involved with race cars/trucks for over 40 years, LOL!

One thing I do know, is that any guy that is worth his salt with diagnosing problems or answering vehicle questions will be over 40.
