Default Thinking about a lift

I have a 2003 Ram 1500 2x4 HEMI RCSB.
I was going to drop it but i decided not to.
I am looking for a 3" lift. Who makes a good, not that expensive ($800-1200) lift?
Will i have to lower the axle so the angle isnt to extreme with just a 3"?
I am also looking for a good set of 16" wheels with a nice off-set because i have some 31" tires that were on my jeep. Will the 31's be to small?

I just want to get these and any other inputs that will help me before i just go ahead and buy stuff.

Thank you, Tony.

PA (top name in body lifts) makes a 3" body lift specifically for the '03-'05 4x2 & 4x4 Hemi 1500 series trucks. Their part number is 60123. Cost is around $330 includes front & rear bumper brackets, steering extension -- everything you need. Only option is the Gap Guards for your tire wells so you don't see all the way thru between your body & frame. Would easily clear 33's and possibly 35's.
