Default Made the switch to a different muffler!!

Switched from the 40 series Flows to the AT3030. Must say that I should have gotten the AT3030 from the get go. Now that I've used two different types/brands I can definitely tell the difference. I primarily made the switch simply because the HEMI will outflow the 40 series unless you are running true duels, which I am not. Additionally, a quick phone call to Flowmaster and indeed they verified that the 40 series was not designed for the HEMI and that the 50 series HD was what they recommended. I'll admit that initially I wanted to get a muffler primarily for sound and then performance second. But, when I spoke with several reputable muffler shops in my hometown, San Diego, they stated that they would not recommend the 40 to be put on a HEMI.

As for the AT3030. Like I said, I now have first hand experience between the two brands and models and I can only say WOW! First off, the sound is mad loud, like, NASCAR loud. I will post clips and pictures later as I am at work right now. Secondly, it's like with the 40 series my engine had asthma and with the AT3030it istheinhaler that opens up the lungs. You can feelthedifference and i've been running around with it for about a weeknow. Mileageis even better with theAT3030. Like I said, it feels likethe engine breathes a lot better now. I would've never thought aperformance muffler could be restrictive but after making the switch I have no hesitation in making that statement. AT3030 owners of the world, UNITE!!!!

I have been thinking of getting a AT3030, how much do they run? Where is the best place to get one?

I got mine locally so it was about 200. There are tons of other places you can get it on ebay for about 176.

Feels nice to be different and not stuck on Flowmaster like everyone else, huh. Did you keep your resonator on when you went to a 3" pipe?

I think the at3030 is by far the best sounding muffler out there. I did alot of research before going with one. My 06 has one resonator right after the headers then the muffler then it's dumped a foot or two before the axle. Not too bad driving around but at startup and WOT my truck screams. I also wanted a muffler that flowed better. The flowmaster sounds good but is not good for performance. I have actually read flow charts on dodgetruckworld and hemitruckclub where guys have said they actually clogged the exhaust more than stock.

I also bought mine from an online retailer for around $160. I forget the place I bought it but they can be found alot cheaper than $200.

I dida lot of research on mufflers and I was impressed with the AT design and sound. It cost me $200 installed and I don't regret it one bit! I still have my resonator on and I have a little drone in the cab around 2000 rpm, but it's not bad by any means.
