RE: Super Chip for 4.7L
I ran the Jet stage 2 in my 03 dakota with the 4.7 and never had any long term problems, didn't notice any change after driving for a prolonged time with it like the computer learned its way around it.... don't know what has changed from 03 to now or from dakota to ram.

RE: Super Chip for 4.7L
i have the jet stage 2 chip on my 4.7 dak and it woke up the motor. had better gas milage and better shift points. worth the money. now if you have money the other mod i would recommend is the 206 cam upgrade from www.krcperformance.com by far the best bang for the buck on the 4.7. check out their site. they have true tests with dyno numbers.

RE: Super Chip for 4.7L
I too emailed Superchips about my 04 4.7 and here's what they said.
"We did the 2003 Ram truck with a 4.7 but not any other years. The computer changed in 2004 so it wasn't a carry over. We just have been busy trying to keep up with the Hemi all this time."
I would say that if you're interested in one, email them. Maybe they'll make one if enough people email them...
Also any verification that the 04 up 4.7 computer cancel's out the Jet chip? Maybe mythbusters can do a story
Thanks,
David

RE: Super Chip for 4.7L
Yes ... I am really interested to know if the 02, 4.7L does cancel out the JET chip. I really hope that it doesn't .. but I don't feel like spending $200 to find out, lol. I think I am going to call a local tuning shop to see if they can just dload the program to my ECU. I really don't think I will ever want to go back to stock.
