I have an 02 4.7 in my QC. Got the Super Chips programmer (that reads codes as well. Comes with a booklet of the codes and definitions) and set it on 87 octane. Not a big difference. Now have it on 91 octane and it shifts firmer, and mileage improved to almost 2-mpg more. I also added a K&N drop in and Borla exhaust as well.

One thing I have to say, is after you reprogram the computer, power is noticable immediately, but the shifting gets better with after about 200 miles or so. I was a little discouraged at first, but after driving it for a bit, i'm pleased with it now.

I bought it at AutoAnything.com and got free overnight shipping included.

I've heard nothing but good about the gains from Superchips, however they stopped supporting the 4.7L after 2002 though. They only do the Hemi from 02-current. Pretty nice of them, seeing as how they support every engine for Chevy and Ford. I'm not bitter though.

I am seriously considering getting the superchips programmer ... although I have been going back and forth between that and the Jet Stage 2 Performance Chip. Any comments / suggesstions?

I've read that the computer re-learns and cancels out the Jet chips after about 500 miles, making it worthless.

Really?? that is not good news at all ... where did you see that? A buddy of mine had a Jet on his 94 Camaro and didnt have any issues for a long time. Probably different computer designs though.
