hey everyone i was thinking about getting a new cam for my 03 hemi and i was wondering what would give me the most horsepower and what would be best for the truck. would the 6.1L cams be the way to go or should i go with a different brand for it and what else would i need to do to have the cam installed.

 

you might as well just do a search on this, there is a ton of threads on cams for our trucks already

 

the 6.1 is the simplest as there is no need for tuning. the pcm will learn the new cam in a few hundred miles and your good to go. so does one of the comp cams i believe. get new vavle springs to say the least and others go ahead and do pushrods and retainers as well. the bigger cams need an arc1 or something similar to adjust the af ratio at idle and wot
