34 Gallon tank REALLY 34 Gallons?
I only use my computer for direction and odometer. Everything else is off by a long shot. Heck, even the temps are wrong. It says it is over 100 degrees all the time and no where near that at anytime. The only time the temps are close are at night. The MPG's are pretty close some times, but only as a tank average. Not what you are getting at that specific time. In short, don't rely on your overhead computer for anything. Go back to basic math calculations and get to know you truck, then you will know for sure what you got.
with my 06 2500 Ram, the low flue light comes on the dash a good 50 miles before the low flue light on pod over the rear view mirror comes on, Than I can go 30 miles before gassing up I have a reg cab long box and I have not run out of flue yet.
i belive in running my tank down as low as it can go... and if i was to fill it up at half tank, it'd be doing it every other day (100 mile round trip to work). also, gas does eventually go bad (and by bad that means becomes way less efficient) so if you burn as much gas as possible and keep it as fresh as possible, you will achieve much better milage.
and so far as filling up every 2500 miles, you either have a 200 gallon tank or get 200 miles to the gallon! haha
