I have a 160 in my Mustang right now. Going to go to a 180. I didn't find any benifit to it and in the winter there's no heat. In 20* weather all you can hope for is to take the chill off. I've had to stop, block the rad with cardboard just to get enough heat to defrost the windows...

Ahhhh.... 165. If you run a closed loop computer car too cold, the engine (temp sensor) will never read warm enough for the ECU to kick the car into closed loop from open loop. If you live in a warm climate (FL, AZ, etc.) It might work better, but not in the winter in the upstate areas.

With all the controversy surrounding going to the 180 being too cold, I couldn't imagine the volumes of posts against going to a 165

there is no reason for the 160-165 stat. truck will always stay in warm up mode. at first its great have good power. but in the long run you could do some damage and have terrible gas mileage. also it might throw a code
