Towing shocks...???
Does Dodge make towing shocks..?? I've got the 2007 5.7L, 4X4, Qcab, 1500, And when towing our 5200lb trailer the backend at times wants to move up and down as the trailer does..not a lot but some... I thought that stiffer shocks would help...??? any Ideas...??? Doug
I think that the factory shocks are of decent quality, and really stiff ones may make it ride too rough when not towing.
Maybe some air springs may help, without sacrificing you ride quality?
I was just wondering, have you verified your trailer'stongue weight?

I had some $25 "helper springs" from AutoZone on my last truck (92 GMC) and they made a huge difference in how tight the back end was. They really reduced the amount the rear sagged when weight was applied and also made it handle better unloaded.

i disagree about the stock shocks...they are crap, even for regular driving...they have no rebound dampening.
i like the rancho 9000's...gives me some adjustability for heavy or no load and they actually work. i also just bought some timbren overload springs but haven't had a load in the truck yet to decide if they work worth a ****, but as soon as i know i'll post.
as far as your original question, get some sort of overload/helper springs and some better, if not adjustable, shocks.

I'd try some air bags or maybe even the rancho 9000 shocks. They have a 9 position dial to adjust the stiffness. You could crank it up when towing and soften it up when your not

Would it be possible that there has been some kind of spec or build change since '04, orsomewhere along the line?
