I have an 02 Ram 4x4 that is starting to rust on the bedside .I took this to the dealer he said I was 2 months out of my warranty. Called Chrysler hotline to try and talk with someone about maybe fixing it even though i was 2 months over on warranty or just get some reimbursment for repairs. But that was a big fat no,which kinds surprised me I didn't think it was a good idea on there part not to help me out but instead let me drive one of there products only 5 yrs old with a rusted bedside. Well now that I see I am stuck with repairing this myself I was just wondering if anyone else has issues with this. The problem is that there is a reinforced piece of metal behind the bedside that has foam sprayed between the 2 panels and water stays trapped in the foam.
i no it's hard to see....sorry

 

Remember rust is like an iceberg you only see about a quarter of it.

Shouldn't be to hard to fix unless it has eaten a hole through the metal.

 

Buy the truck new?

 

It had about 5k on it98know.

yeah i had mine undercoated when i bought and it really wasnt too expensive...dunno if it's gonna help for sure or not, but rather safe then sorry.......sucks about your truck dude, hope you get it fixed
