What do you 4x4 guys carry as far as recovery equipment (and 4x2 guys too, for that matter)...

fire extinquisher
bottle jack, rechargeable Q-Beam, 12v Q-beam, & various flashlights.

and if I happen to have the ATV in the bed then I also have:
Warn 2.5 winch
(2) 1 ton clevis'
7,000# ****** block
15' 10,000# tow strap
axle strap
3"x10' tree saver
portable 12v compressor
tire repair kit

Because STUCK HAPPENS...

 

My wife and a shovel........oh yeah, and a six pack of Mich Ultras on ice, just in case it takes her a while to getme unstuck.

i found a cell phone to come in handy ya know when you the bobcat and the tractor get stuck.oh yes and a credit card to pay the 700 bucks to get unstuck

 

spare u-joints... dont forget those. Been there done that, better safe than sorry. I always keep a couple of spares in my toolbox.

After my last stuck I go more prepared. I used to carry a 30x20,000 strap and 3 d-shackles. Now I carry a shovel, strap, d-shackles- a hi-lift jack, these home made wood ladder looking things I have seen someone use to get a rv out. You put them under the tires and the truck has traction on those. a cell phone. 6 pack of water, flashlight, a garden ho (easier to push and pull sand) two pair of gloves (burned my hands moving rocks last time) Magnesium (never know if you need to start a fire) and a hatchet. the winch will be coming soon. I need to get the bumper first then I will be a getting a 12.5 winch either warn or Milemarker.
